Life at Sapient !

Work is going at a full pace, I am enjoying each bit of it.. Sapient is back with the hiring mode, with new work, we have too many needs to work upon. It just took me back to Q4 when, Hiring team was on Road to 210.. I,Nikki, ana, jana, ash use to Rock.. It was so much fun.. I never got a feeling that these guys work from bangalore..

Well now again we are on hiring spree and I am loving it.. It just thrills me, phone screening, lining up candidates, last me mins back outs, salary negotiations, RP tension ha ha ha.., vurv tension, hire losses, offer losses all that will happen aagain... and it will be fun :-)

Between couple of things which went good for me in last week is- I have been a winner of Sapient core value (Creativity) at India level.. It was so unexpected, when in the morning meeting it was announced by P, I was so happy to hear that.. Next day K shared the email with Sapient India mentioning the winners name with a brief write-up on each winner. My mailbox was full of wishes, I got mails and wishes from unexpected people from different teams and projects.. Its a great and big thing happened to me. I will remember it for my whole life. The second new thing is my new role.. I am enjoying it, so all that make my life at Sapient ROCKS !!

Creativity and GOD

I saw white peacock/hen in the zoo in Nainital, it was as beautiful as an angel.. It has pure white feathers which has a beautiful pattern. Its white colour made it look really magnificent and elegant.

Great fashion designers claim their designs to be the best, they just copy God's creation.. God already created that we are still exploring, finding and copying ideas.. :-)

Move On !

We oftenly say move on in life.. So we are moving on.. we loose people, relations and things.. We put all of them in one bracket.. I always believed - Life is a journey we meet and depart"

People are practicing this - "Life is full of choices" so what if one relation is lost, I have always a choice to make a new one.. However was just wondering that why don't we make an effort to make that one particular relation work. A new relation will always be good at the introductry stage, as soon as it will reach to the maturity - it will decline.. :-) The stages of life cycle, so decline has to happen, which will bring a new beginning..
We have a huge friend list on orkut and facebook and the real touch with friends around us is diminishing.. So the true things, feelings, freshness, the happiness has lost all around.. We have forgot those golden school days when we use to enjoy at the school canteen.. We use to dream together to enjoy with the money we would earn. Today when we have started earning money, we enjoy the great food outlets more than the company..
We send virtual roses, hugs, love and smiles.. And say move on in life ....

Meeting with a Leader !!

We planned to meet at 9.30 AM, ping him at 9.31 AM. Entered the war room, he opened the door, switch on the lights, cleared the whiteboard and placed the markers at their right place. I myself went to that war room couple of times before this meet, but never thought of cleaning the whiteboard :-)
While having a growth conversation with P, I got the opportunity to know him a little more as an individual. As he has inspired each one of us on the team. I always wanted to know from him, what's his secret to be focused, where leaders are into spirituality, meditation, workouts. But he is not into any of it.
To my surprise he is not into any meditation, spirituality etc.. He just follow discipline and work. Though his major source of inspiration or knowledge are books. Apart from that one distinct quality I found was to introspect, talk to himself.. Where he is quite and listen his own voice. I think thats the most important thing.

He is known as a fair leader, believes in people growth, engage team, respect their aspiration, non-diplomatic. Promote fairness and think out of the box. He is always prepared or geared up, has great sense of homour. Endless list, thats why the entire team admires him and believe in working in a synergy model. He inspire each moment and their is so much to learn from him.

So introspection is one..We get all the answers as our heart is like a ocean where pearls are waiting for our hands to reach..
