8 Year old girl in Gurudwara

I am not very fond of Keertan, I like to listen in the morning or before sleeping, however not very regular for it. Last satuarday my mom insisted me to go to Gurudwara, I was enjoying the roadies last episode... She got furious to see my watching the show and not getting ready for the Gurudwara... I finished the show and dressed up for the Keertan. Somehow I avoid going to Gurudwara, as have to meet relatives or neighbour, who all have one question " when are you getting married"... Can't understand what is their interest in it.. Anyways... In the near by Gurudwara Once in month Keertan and huge langar is conducted... The Gurudwara committee arrange it.. They call the popular Jatha each month for the keertan... This time they called the jatha which has 16 kids, age group 5-13 yrs.. It started with the Shabad sung by the 8 year old girl.. "Sachey sahib kya nahi ghar tere" - There is nothing which is not available at God's home? ... Shabad in a whole ment that What is that God cannot offer to us from his place.. We keep on asking and are not tired of.. I know this is said by everyone.. Don't know probably her voice when sung these lines.. I cried, tears came out of my eyes. I felt the same, that how much I have been asking from God - Day and night... my desires are just not ending... I sat for two hours listening to all Shabads... Courtesy to Mom :)

IT Companies Beware: US May Introduce 50:50 Law

It is likely that the US may introduce a 50:50 hiring law wherein it will be mandatory for the Indian IT companies to employ 50% Americans in their US operations. If the law comes into place, top Indian IT companies like Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Infosys Technologies, Wipro, Satyam Computer Services and HCL Technologies will take a hit. According to reports, about 90% employees at the US offices of some top-rung Indian IT companies are Indians. With the new law, Indian IT companies would have to shell out much more as salaries for foreign staff, which will have a bearing on the profitability of these companies. At present, IT companies can send any number of Indian employees with a year’s experience under L1-B visas. Besides, the H1-B visa, through the lottery system, enables about 65,000 employees to immigrate to the US, of which about 80% lands in the IT industry

Taking Exit Interviews Seriously

Emerging HR Trend: Taking Exit Interviews Seriously In a bid to understand why employees leave an organization, more and more companies are taking exit interviews seriously and making effective changes on the feedback. Some companies are even taking services of specialised HR companies to conduct exit interviews. Exit interviews reveal a lot about the culture of a company, the management style, the compensation and opportunities for growth. With attrition rate as high as 30 per cent in sectors like BPOs, companies are curious to know why employees make that final decision. Feedback from exit interviews is helping companies come up with systemic remedies. For instance, one company revamped the entire salary structure, pruned hierarchy to enable effective communication, and altered the recruitment process to look at different pools of talent. Interestingly, ex-employees tend to be more open and speak their mind when a third party conducts exit interview.
